A violent Albanian drug gang was broken up Tuesday with the arrests of more than a dozen players in New York, Connecticut and Canada, officials said.

The gang, known as the Krasniqi crew, was based in Queens and Staten Island and trafficked marijuana throughout New York, Michigan and Connecticut, according to two indictments unsealed Tuesday.

Thirteen members of the crew were arrested Tuesday - including ringleaders Bruno Krasniqi, 26, and Saimir (Sammy) Krasniqi, brothers from Staten Island.

Three other members are still at large.

The gang started trafficking marijuana in 2003 and had no qualms about robbing its own suppliers or kidnapping a rival drug dealer, authorities said.

“This international organized crime group allegedly engaged in kidnapping, robbery, narcotics trafficking and acts of violence to fund and protect its operations,” said Manhattan U.S. Attorney Preet Bharara.

Those arrested in the FBI-NYPD Joint Organized Crime Task Force were charged with kidnapping, narcotics, firearms and robbery.

Die CIA-nahe NGO “Reporter ohne Grenzen” weist auf ihrer Webseite darauf hin, dass Pressefreiheit Menschenrecht ist und beschreibt dabei die Bedeutung der Pressefreiheit wie folgt:

Informationen sind der erste Schritt zu Veränderungen – deshalb fürchten nicht nur autoritäre Regierungen eine freie und unabhängige Berichterstattung.
Wo Medien nicht über Unrecht, Machtmissbrauch oder Korruption berichten können, findet auch keine öffentliche Kontrolle statt, keine freie Meinungsbildung und kein friedlicher Ausgleich von Interessen.

Pressefreiheit ist die Basis einer demokratischen Gesellschaft.

Die Propaganda der USA und die Israel-Lobby bezeichnen Israel regelmäßig als “einzige Demokratie im nahen Osten” und auch das herrschende israelische Staatsverständnis betrachtet Israel trotz der vom zionistischen Staat praktizierten Apartheid als “jüdische Demokratie” und der “westlichen Wertegemeinschaft” zugehörig. Dem widerspricht jedoch selbst die für ihre stark rechtslastige pro-amerikanische Schlagseite berüchtigte NGO “Reporter ohne Grenzen”.

Israel vertritt die Meinung, dass der Sturm auf die Mavi Marmara, bei dem ein bewaffnetes israelisches Kommando neun Menschen mit 30 Kugeln des Kalibers 9mm erschossen, mehrere verletzte Aktivisten offenbar über Bord geworfen und 48 weitere Aktivisten angeschossen hat, in zahlreichen Medien wahrheitswidrig als Staatsterrorismus, Piraterie, Massaker oder unverhältnismäßige Gewaltanwendung dargestellt werde. Was die Wahrheit nach Zionistenart ist, erläuterte der israelische Botschafter in den USA, Michael Oren, nach der Attacke Fox News: die israelische Operation sei “vollkommen legal, vollkommen human und sehr verantwortungsvoll” ausgeführt worden.

Kommentar: “Reporter ohne Grenze” ist eine Georg Soros Gründung und damit auch vom CIA finanziert.

 Der Schrott Haufen des Roten Kreuzes ist ja seit Jahren bekannt und im Berliner Justiz Sumpf verwundert sowieso nichts mehr. Dort macht jeder Straflos, was er will.

Zur Erinnerung: Der Rot Kreuz Skandal in Bayern vor Jahren, wo der Geschäftsführer ebenso in Haft kam und seine Schmiergelder auch mit Waffen und anderen kriminellen Geschäften noch weiter steigerte. Gut das man in Bayern die CSU hat mit der BayernLB und Co., und in Berlin haben sich im Rechtslosen Raum, seit Jahren alle Lobby Ratten für Betrug, Bestechung und Profi Schmier Systeme gesammelt.

Am besten verdient man ja bei den NGO’s und Hilfs Vereinen, durch Krieg und Waffenschmuggel, oder wie der heutige Tag zeigt, durch kriminellen Abrechnungs Betrug, was ja auch aus den Altenheimen gut bekannt ist.

In Berlin wurde ein Professor verhaftet, der teure Behandlungen in Rechnung stellt, während er in Wirklichkeit Zeit gleich in Privat Kliniken operierte.

Es könnte sich zum größten Klinikskandal Berlins entwickeln – zwei Ärzte und ein Krankenhaus-Chef, die das Schicksal ihrer Patienten aus Profit-Gier unbefugten Händen überlassen haben sollen. Polizei und Staatsanwaltschaft rückten Mittwoch zur Großrazzia in Berlins DRK-Kliniken aus.

150 Beamte des LKA waren bei der Durchsuchungsaktion in Firmensitzen, Geschäftstellen, einer Privatklinik und an den Wohnadressen der Tatverdächtigen in Berlin, Brandenburg, Baden-Württemberg und Niedersachsen beteiligt. Auslöser für die Ermittlungen war eine anonyme Strafanzeige im September 2009. ………..

Man ist ja einiges gewöhnt. Was jedoch die Koalition in ihrer Klausur beschlossen hat, hat nicht nur eine bösartige soziale Schlagseite (siehe hier), es ist auch sachlich ökonomisch unter aller Sau. Ich bitte diesen harten Ausdruck zu entschuldigen. Aber es ist wirklich so: Parolen und Ideologien ersetzen sachliche Erwägungen; es wird gelogen und die deutsche Geschichte verfälscht; es werden ökonomische Zusammenhänge hergestellt, wo keine sind; und so weiter … – Das zeigen schon die ersten beiden Seiten des Textes, die man als eine Art Präambel sehen könnte. Staatsanwaltschaft wirft ihnen »bandenmäßigen Betrug« vor

Die Berliner DRK-Kliniken kommen nicht zur Ruhe. Nach einem hart ausgetragenen Arbeitskampf im Herbst vergangenen Jahres und Kündigungen führender Ärzte, die an dem Streik beteiligt waren, ist die umstrittene Geschäftsführung nun selbst ins Visier gerückt. Nach monatelangen Ermittlungen und einer Kooperation mit der Kassenärztlichen Vereinigung sowie anderen Quellen setzten Staatsanwaltschaft und Polizei am Mittwoch zu einer Großrazzia an. .. Mitarbeiter gehen davon aus, dass die Entlassungen politisch motiviert waren. Darauf weisen auch die arbeitsrechtlichen Verfahren hin. Im Falle des Oberarztes rückte die Geschäftsführung von dem ursprünglichen Vorwurf ab und schloss einen Vergleich, auch im Streit mit dem gekündigten Chefarzt wird eine solche Einigung derzeit angestrebt. Das Engagement der drei Gekündigten im erfolgreichen Arbeitskampf sorgt für anhaltenden Unmut. Es herrsche »ein Klima der Angst und Verunsicherung«, sagte ein Assistenzarzt im ND-Gespräch. Auf einer Betriebsversammlung am Donnerstagmorgen waren den Beschäftigten Kontakte mit der Presse untersagt worden.

Die Schwesternschaft als Trägerin des Betriebes mit 3500 Mitarbeitern reagierte bislang nicht auf die Konflikte zwischen Belegschaft und Geschäftsführung……Eine zweite Hausinformation war nur noch mit dem Namen des dritten Geschäftsführers, Ralf Stähler, unterzeichnet. Stähler war erst am Dienstag vergangener Woche eingestellt worden.

Lack of Political Will Thwarts Anticorruption Efforts

Following warnings from the European Union that the bloc won’t admit countries still mired in corruption,  governments in the Balkans have lined up to proclaim “zero tolerance” for corrupt behaviour. But how serious are they?Barely a week goes by in the Balkans these days without a new corruption scandal splashed over the front pages of major newspapers, complete with names, dates and bribes -  former ministers arrested in Croatia and Macedonia, drug lords that escape justice in Serbia and top officials charged with corruption appointed in Albania and Montenegro.

Corruption in the region remains widespread in all sectors, from the healthcare system to customs and tax institutions and the parliament. The reasons are myriad: weak laws, inadequate investigations by police, corrupt judges and politicians, insufficient sentencing and a lack of coordination of anti-corruption efforts. Western Balkan governments are still only paying lip service to demands from Brussels to clean up their acts.

While different governments are making more or less successful attempts to persuade the EU that they are being as cooperative as they can, experts say the real progress in the fight against corruption and organised crime is measured not by the number of arrests, but by simple indicators: convictions by a court in a fair trial, the amount of dirty money confiscated, or the number of illegally acquired properties taken away. And such efforts have not yet been seen.

With no real political will, and with the general apathy of ordinary citizens, little real progress is being made.  What can be done?

There are a number of steps that can be taken but all depend on political will. Such steps include releasing the judiciary from the grip of politicians, greater transparency across all areas of government, serious control over political party financing, oversight of state-run companies and public tenders, strengthening anti-corruption agencies, adopting relevant laws, better pay for those most vulnerable to corruption; training police or special investigative units to be able to successfully carry cases to the final sentencing.

Finally, media outlets should rid themselves of corruption within their own ranks in order to be able to raise public awareness and investigate high profile corruption cases in a serious manner.

Bad Boys on the Bloc - The Romania and Bulgaria experience

Brussels insists it won’t be repeating the mistakes it made by allowing Bulgaria and Romania to join before they had dealt with endemic corruption.

It’s a problem that continues today as EU membership has not been a sufficient stimulus to root out corruption and organised crime in either place.

Three years after they joined, both are widely deemed the bad boys of the bloc, still struggling to tackle their deeply-rooted corruption problems.

The troubles these two neighbours face are chronic. During the turbulent post-communist transition years, the Bulgarian capital, Sofia, became a virtual battlefield between rival crime groups, featuring mafia-style killings and shootings in the streets. No major criminal leaders have been convicted.

In Romania, corruption is no less evident. In all recent polls it was ranked as the most important issue, with most surveyed saying they did not trust the judiciary to apply the law impartially.

Brussels in 2008 suspended funds worth millions of euros to Bulgaria.

Both countries insist they are mending their ways with recent high-profile arrests of politicians and alleged mafia kingpins.

But Europe remains to be convinced that the problems have been sufficiently addressed in either country, and continues to point the finger of blame at the courts, citing the slow pace of judicial reforms and inadequate sentences for those found guilty.

An EU diplomat said the union was aware that Romania and Bulgaria were not totally prepared for membership.

“We made the mistake when we promised them to take them in, then we made a political decision to admit them despite the lack of progress, ” said the diplomat, speaking on the condition of anonymity. “Our theory was that it is better to have them under control and the best way to do that was to have them in.”

The union’s less-than-positive Bulgaria and Romania experience is having a real impact on Croatia’s EU hopes.

A spokesperson for EU Enlargement Commissioner Stefan Fuele said lessons had been learned from the last enlargement, suggesting Brussels would apply tougher rules next time.

Një ecje e gjatë në këmbë drejt rrugës së vdekjes. “Shkak” u bë ndalesa për ujin e pijshëm, por tradhtia dhe skenari për masakrën ishin parapërgatitur në mënyrën më të mirë të mundshme. Është data 1 prill e vitit 1945. Pas përfundimit të Luftës së Dytë Botërore, të rekrutuarit shqiptarë nga Kosova u nisën drejt Tivarit në Malin e Zi. Kur nazistët ishin në tërheqje nga territori i ish-Jugosllavisë, frontet u krijuan në Srem të Vojvodinës dhe në atë të Adriatikut në veriperëndim të Jugosllavisë. Shqiptarët u rekrutuan për t’u dërguar në luftime në këto fronte, ndërsa brigadat serbe i forcuan pozitat e tyre në territorin e Kosovës. Gjithsej, 4580 shqiptarë nga Kosova dhe viset e tjera etnike u rekrutuan dhe u dërguan në luftime larg Kosovës për ta zvogëluar rrezikun e çfarëdo rezistence ndaj autoritetit serb/jugosllav që do të vendosej në Kosovë.

Prizren, aty ku u bë çarmatimi i ushtarëve, ja preteksti

Sipas dëshmive të asaj kohe, të gjithë ushtarët shqiptarë u mblodhën në Prizren. Thuhet se aty ata u drejtuan nga oficerë shqiptarë. Në Prizren, të gjithë ushtarët shqiptarë u çarmatosen me arsyetimin se do të lodheshin nga rruga dhe se kur të mbërrinin në front, do të pajiseshin me armë moderne angleze. Nga Prizreni shqiptarët u nisën fillimisht për në Mal të Zi, të ndarë në tri grupe. Dokumentet e atyre ditëve faktojnë se grupi i parë, prej 3,700 vetash, u nis më 24 mars 1945. Grupi i dytë, me 4,700 vetë, u nis me 26 mars dhe marshoi për katër ditë në vijën Prizren - Zhur - Kukës - Pukë - Shkodër - Tivar. Ushtarët gjatë rrugës u rrahën apo në disa raste edhe u vranë, kur dilnin nga kolona për ta shuar etjen.

Udhëtimi, të gjitha format e likuidimit të shqiptarëve

Në librin “Lufta e Drenicës 1941-1945 dhe NDSH deri më 1947”, autori Islam Dobra shkruan se rruga për Tivar kishte kaluar me vuajtje dhe peripeci të mëdha. Me shumë vështirësi e kishin kaluar Drinin e Bardhë. Në këtë natë, prej orës një (pas mesnate) kishin filluar t’i thërrisnin një nga një me radhë, gjoja për t’i marrë në pyetje, por ata që shkonin, nuk ktheheshin më. Dikush, pas likuidimit të disa shokëve, kishte dëgjuar britma njerëzish dhe tani mësuan se aty i vrisnin duke i larguar në përrenj e male. Nga ky proces i rrezikshëm ia kishin arritur të shpëtonin tre veta. Forma tjetër e likuidimit bëhej natën, gjoja nga dikush tjetër. Pusia ishte e përgatitur. Përcjellësit i çonin në atë drejtim, ata rrinin mbrapa, më larg në mënyrë që likuiduesit të shtinin në ushtarët shqiptarë. Në këtë rrugë të mundimshme disa ishin të lodhur shumë. Nuk mund të ecnin. Shokët më të qëndrueshëm nga përcjellësit kërkonin ndonjë mjet transportues, por kjo kërkesë jo vetëm nuk u përfill, por tani përcjellësit kishin filluar t’i rrihnin. Numri i të sëmurëve u shtua edhe më shumë pas një shujte pak bukë e pak mish të prishur, me shumë erë dhe kripë. Kështu filluan dhembje në stomak dhe etje. Disa kërkonin ujë, por nuk u lejohej të pinin. Siç thotë njëri nga fshati Krasmirofc shkoi të pinte ujë, por roja e vrau duke pirë ujë në burim. Natën e dytë eshaloni kaloi në afërsi të Pukës nën drunj e shi. Të nesërmen edhe shumë sish ishin sëmurë dhe kishin vdekur nga helmimi i ushqimit. Ditën e tretë të udhëtimit eshaloni kishte arritur në orën 19 në vendin e quajtur Ura e Zogut, të cilën ushtria fashiste italiane e kishte rrënuar. Tash gjoja se do t’i qisnin me njëfarë vigu apo teleferiku të improvizuar, i cili këputet. Shumica prej tyre mbetën të lënduar. 

Përcjellësit serbë e malazezë përsëri orvaten që edhe të tjerët t’i kalojnë ashtu gjoja se tani ishte në rregull, por këtë shqiptarët assesi nuk pranuan. Kështu vazhduan rrugën në këmbë dhe rrotull. Të nesërmen të lënduarit nga teleferiku do t’i ndalin, gjoja për t’i bartur me ndonjë mjet transportues. I ndajnë nga shokët e tyre, por kurrë nuk u dit se çka ndodhi me fatin e tyre! Të mbeturit e kishin vazhduar rrugën deri afër Shkodrës, në vendin e quajtur Vau i Spasës. Në orën 16, eshaloni kishte arritur në Shkodër, aty pushojnë pak, pinë ujë dhe në mbrëmje, vendosen në një kazermë, afër Shkodrës. Nga mesi i natës përcjellësit i zgjojnë për marshim në drejtim të Ulqinit, por edhe këtë rrugë nuk e kishin kaluar pa telashe. Diku kah ora 3 të mëngjesit kishin hasur në një minim eksploziv, në këtë të papritur edhe përcjellësit shtinë mbi shqiptarë dhe në këtë vend mbetën një numër i konsideruar të vrarësh. Edhe këtë likuidim serbo-malazezët do ta arsyetonin se gjoja banorët e Shqipërisë vrapuan kështu nga pezmi që kosovarët ishin ithtarë dhe veprimtarë të lëvizjes kombëtare balliste. Vazhduan rrugën për në Ulqin duke shtuar edhe këtë: “Kemi dëgjuar duke na fyer e sharë nënën shqiptare…, - thoshin, - do tu burgosim”, e thënie të tjera. Me të hyrë në territorin e Malit të Zi, disa të sëmurë i ndajnë gjoja për t’i vendosur në spital. Ata nuk dinin se ku i dërgonin. Pas masakrës së bërë, ata që mbetën gjallë, pak më larg vendit të masakrës, e kaluan tërë natën. Në brendi qëndronte roja e armatosur. Këtu qëndronin afro 15 orë, të lodhur e të rraskapitur nga mundimet psikike e fizike, nga etja, uria. Të nesërmen i dërgonin në qytet të vjetër për t’i vendosur në një ndërtesë të vjetër e të keqe. Shqiptarët kishin refuzuar për të hyrë, pa e ditur arsyen. Atëherë oficerët lejuan një numërim të tyre. Sipas numërimit, ishin 810 veta.

Vrasja, Enver Hoxha nuk paditi Jugosllavinë

Komunistët shqiptarë në Shqipëri heshtën për shumë masakra që i bënë serbo-malazezët, por e njëjta gjë ndodhi edhe në rastin e krimit të madh, atë të Tivarit. Ish-diktatori komunist, Enver Hoxha, as ato ditë të masakrës dhe as gjatë kohës që drejtoi PPSH-në nuk kërkoi dënimin e Jugosllavëve gjë e cila hedh hije dyshimi se ai i tradhtoi shqiptarët dhe si pasojë ndodhi masakra e 1 prillit. Shumëkush besonte se për këtë masakër Enver Hoxha duhej të padiste Jugosllavinë në gjyqet ndërkombëtare, si një denoncim i mundshëm, gjë që nuk ndodhi kurrë.
